Musings

the title of book 7 was confirmed today...harry potter and the deathly hallows. sounds sinister. i hope she doesn't end up killing off harry. i don't know if i could take it.

if you want to play a game of hangman to figure out the title check out mugglenet link to the right.

if you like texas a&m (or like to make fun of them) check out this link from uniwatch a couple of days back. lots of pictures of old aggie uniforms.

cover story today on espn.com about the education of vince young. makes me want to puke that he is not a texan. plus a rumor in the chronicle that the texans may look to trade carr and get matt schaub from atlanta. let's see schaub vs. young...hummm.

check out this link from mike copes blog from a few days back. item number three is interesting and a hot topic at our house (not a new topic a hot one). something to chew on a bit. it seems to me that lots of churches tend to call themselves progressive but when you look in it is the same old core with a shiny new outer coat - nothing really has changed once you take off the coat. i also wish i studied more so i could actually talk with confidence. and it seems to me there is no middle ground either. as the kid's dad so elequantly put it, if you have a band why not have a keg...

it makes me laugh so hard to think about you trying to figure out what the title was of the last hp novel at work. that is so funny!

one the best spiritual conversations I had recently with a non christian was at BWW over a tall one and a buncha wings. That's the way it should be. My dad, although he did not know it, was right! Wait, I'm sure Wags came up with that 1st.

Also where would churches be without women? All the dudes are hanging out back waiting for the service to end while women were doing a lot of the work. Go figure.
